The Buloke Shire Council planning authority has prepared Amendment C47blok to the Buloke Planning Scheme.
The amendment is required to implement the changes to the floodplain since structural mitigation works in the townships of Donald and Charlton.
The Urban Floodway Zone will be slightly modified in Clifton Street, with some areas being removed from the Urban Floodway Zone and replaced with Township Zone.
In Donald, some areas of Floodway Overlay and Land Subject to Inundation Overlay in Camp and Wood Streets will be removed from the Buloke Planning Scheme.
The amendment ensures that the planning controls reflect the most recently mapped extent of riverine flooding in these areas.
