The second Silo Art installation in Buloke Shire is complete and already creating a huge impression.
The GrainCorp silos in Sea Lake have undergone a breathtaking reinvigoration in colours synonymous with the districts famous night sky.
Funded by the Federal Government’s Drought Communities Programme, the art work of Brisbane based artists Drapyl and the Zookeeper, who had already left an indelible mark on Sea Lake, is a splendour to behold.
Named “The space in between”, the imagery features a young girl swinging from a Mallee eucalyptus tree gazing out over Lake Tyrrell and a big open sky which gradually fades from dusk to night. The concept was developed based on close consultation with members of project working group.
This new attraction, alongside the growing street art in Sea Lake, the Nullawil Silo Art installation and the upcoming street art project in Charlton is seeing Buloke become a must see for those looking for that perfect selfie opportunity in front of larger than life imagery.
