The First Time Parents Group is a free program offered to all first time parents who reside in Buloke Shire Council and is facilitated by Maternal and Child Health Services to unite new families within their local area.
First Time Parents Group connects parents with other parents with new babies, to build on already existing knowledge, and to provide additional information about health and parenting issues. Each week there is a different topic to explore with parents gaining additional information to help support their child’s development. Some interesting discussions include:
The last session, held on a warmer spring day was a pram walk. From the local park, then down the main street of Charlton. What a welcoming site for the locals watching the future, young families of Charlton , Wycheproof and surrounds proudly walking their babies in their prams. Congratulations to the families pictured below who have been attending First Time Parent Group for 6 weeks, in the months August – November at Charlton Early Years Centre.
