Buloke Shire Draft Council Plan, Annual Budget and Rates and Revenue Strategy on Public Exhibition

At its Council Meeting on Wednesday 8 May 2025, Buloke Shire Council endorsed their draft Council Plan 2025–2029, 2025/26 Annual Budget and Rates and Revenue Strategy 2025-29 for public exhibition.
The three draft strategic documents outline the priorities that Council will strive to deliver over the coming years to ensure Council is well-placed to deliver essential services, maintain financial sustainability and plan responsibly for the future.
Buloke Shire Mayor, Cr Alan Getley highlights the importance of these documents as they set the direction for the years ahead and reflect what matters most to the Buloke community.
“We are proud to present our new draft Council Plan, Annual Budget and Rates and Revenue Strategy to our community”, Cr Getley said, “And we are grateful to everyone who recently shared their thoughts and ideas through our surveys, workshops, community summit and conversations”.
“This input has helped shape these draft strategic documents and we encourage everyone to take a look at them and make a submission to Council.”
In response to the community feedback received, Buloke Shire Council will develop a Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan as a standalone document later this year rather than integrate it with the Council Plan, as it has done previously. This is to provide greater focus and guidance to Council in maintaining and improving the health and wellbeing of the Buloke community.

Submissions must be received in writing no later than 5pm on Thursday 29 May 2025 and can be provided in the following ways:
Following the consultation and review period, the Draft Council Plan 2025-2029, Revenue and Rating Strategy 2025-29 and 2025/26 Annual Budget are scheduled for adoption at the Council Meeting on Wednesday 18 June 2025.
