Help Shape What’s Next For Sea Lake Recreation

Help Shape What’s Next For Sea Lake Recreation

Publish date: 3 September 2025

Buloke Shire Council is supporting the Sea Lake community to take the lead in shaping the future of sport and recreation through the development of a new Sea Lake Recreation Master Plan.

The project aims to reflect the community’s aspirations that reflect local recreational needs and priorities, including opportunities for informal recreation and leisure activities.

Council has engaged Otium Planning Group, to assist with the development of the Master Plan and support the engagement process with the local community throughout the project.

Early engagement has already commenced this week with initial conversations held with local residents, sport and recreation groups and schools.

While the timing has been set to get things started, this is just the beginning and there will be more opportunities for the community to shape the process moving forward.

Community members are encouraged to provide input to the project by attending one of the upcoming Community Drop-In Sessions on Monday 15 September:

  • 2:30pm–4:00pm – Sea Lake IGA
  • 4:30pm–6:00pm – Former Sea Lake Visitor Information Hub

“We’re grateful to everyone who participated in the first round of discussions," said Buloke Shire Council Mayor Cr Alan Getley.

"These upcoming drop-in sessions aims to continue these conversations by providing more opportunities for the community to share ideas and help create a plan for Sea Lake that reflects local recreational needs and priorities."

Community members can also contribute to the project via email, phone or visiting Council’s Have Your Say webpage at www.buloke.vic.gov.au/have-your-say

Stay tuned for updates as the community continues to shape this exciting project.
