Children's Services

The wellbeing of children and their families is supported through planning and service development. In addition a range of direct services and community events support families to connect with their local community. Our role is to understand the needs of our community clear and communicate these to other levels of government.

 

New Child Care Package

The new federal government child care subsidy commenced on 7 March 2022, with new benefits for families who have more than two children under 5 years.

  • Playgroup Playgroup is for babies, toddlers and preschoolers and their parents or carers.
  • Kindergartens Council owns five separate kindergarten facilities (one each in Birchip, Charlton, Donald, Sea Lake and Wycheproof).
