Nominations Open for the 2027 Buloke Australia Day Awards
Nominations are now open for the 2027 Buloke Australia Day Awards.
Do you know someone making a positive difference in the Buloke community?
The Buloke Australia Day Awards celebrate individuals and events that make a significant contribution to community life across the Shire. The awards provide an opportunity to recognise and thank those who help make Buloke a vibrant, welcoming and connected community.
Awards are presented at the Buloke Shire Australia Day Awards Event prior to Australia Day each year.
The Australia Day Awards recognise exceptional community service, whether through significant contributions over many years or outstanding achievements during the past year.
2027 Buloke Australia Day Award categories include:
- Buloke Shire Citizen of the Year
- Buloke Shire Young Citizen of the Year
- Buloke Shire Community Event of the Year
How to nominate:
There are three ways to submit a nomination:
- Complete the online nomination form; or
- Download and complete the fillable PDF nomination form and return it to Council; or
- Collect a hard copy nomination form from the Wycheproof Shire Office.
Community members are encouraged to review the Australia Day Awards Guidelines before submitting a nomination. The guidelines outline the eligibility criteria and assessment process for each award category.
Nominations for the 2027 Awards open on Thursday, 1 October 2026 and close on Sunday, 8 November 2026, at 11:59pm.

2027 Buloke Australia Day Awards Celebration
The 2027 Buloke Australia Day Awards will be presented at a special community event on Thursday, 21 January 2027.
Further details, including the location and event program, will be confirmed closer to the date.
Community members will be invited to attend and celebrate the achievements and contributions of outstanding individuals and events from across the Buloke Shire.
