CEO Judd Calls Time at Buloke

Publish Date: 24 August 2021

Buloke Shire Council CEO Anthony Judd has given notice of his resignation.

Anthony was appointed CEO in April 2018 after a long career at Buloke dating back to 2006 when he commenced as Recreation Officer. He also held the positions of Manager Assets and Infrastructure and Director Works and Technical Services for five years.

“The Buloke Shire is such a special place to live, and I’ve been so fortunate to work with the wonderful and hardworking staff, Councillors and community over the past sixteen years. I am really thankful for all the amazing people who have supported me and I know the Buloke team will continue to do remarkable work for and with the community,” said Anthony Judd.

Anthony will take up the role of Regional Director, Loddon Mallee with the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP).

“In taking on this new role, I am excited about still working across this region and can play a role in supporting local communities,” he said.

Mayor Cr Daryl Warren congratulated Anthony on his achievements as CEO and across his career at Buloke.

“On behalf of my fellow Councillors, staff and the community I would like to congratulate Anthony on his appointment to his new role and wish him and his family all the very best.

“Anthony is a home-grown leader of the highest calibre and whilst we are sad to be losing him to the organisation, we look ahead to working with him in his new role to continue strengthening our relationship with the State Government.

“He has been at the forefront of our resurgence at Buloke Shire – through floods, droughts, financial crisis and a pandemic, but has always led the way with a strong vision of Buloke achieving its potential,” said Cr Warren.

Council will now enter the recruitment stage and are confident drawing a high calibre of applicants for the role.

Anthony Judd will conclude his time at Buloke Shire Council on Friday 1 October 2021.
