Key Change at Buloke

Publish Date: 1 September 2022

Buloke Shire Council has appointed Hannah Yu as its new Director Infrastructure and Delivery after a rigorous external recruiting process.

Hannah, who has been Acting Director Works and Technical Services at Buloke since January of this year, will move into the renamed role that better reflects the area’s output, on a permanent basis immediately.

“I am really excited to announce Hannah as our Director Infrastructure and Delivery. She has had an amazing career at Buloke and her achievements in the directorate this year in project delivery and asset planning have been first class highlighted by the review of our Road Management Plan, the Strategic Asset Management Plan, the 2022/23 Capital Works Program and oversight of the Tourism Innovation Grant Guidelines.

This is on top of her undeniable Corporate Services record. I look forward to continuing to work alongside Hannah in her new role”, Council’s CEO Wayne O’Toole said.

A senior leader at Buloke Shire for many years, Hannah was appointed as Director Corporate Services in 2017 after playing a pivotal role in the Human Resources department since beginning at Buloke in 2007.

During her time at Council Hannah has been central to, or at the forefront of, financial management including annual budgeting and long-term financial planning, corporate compliance and governance, project delivery, Local Government Act 2020 implementation, information communication technology transformation and asset planning.

“I am really excited by the new opportunity and am looking forward to continuing to work alongside our community to ensure the best possible outcomes for Buloke.

We are so lucky to have an excellent group of local professionals in our team delivering everyday”, Hannah Yu said. A process to recruit a new Director Corporate Services will now be undertaken.
