As you are all no doubt aware, a range of eased restrictions were announced for Victoria yesterday.
Council gets this information at the same time the community does, so from today we are hard at work ensuring that playgrounds, skateparks and outdoor gym equipment is safe to use.
This takes time and we appreciate your patience whilst we reopen these facilities.
From next week community facilities are to reopen. Council will this week be busy ensuring things like senior citizens buildings, museums, halls and others spaces are safe to use.
Camping and tourism accommodation can resume, however the use of communal bathrooms/amenity blocks is still not permitted. You can stay overnight if no shared facilities are used. We are contacting Lake Committees and Caravan Park Committees to ensure your safety is maintained.
We are currently planning the resumption of the library service to the community, and working through the required distancing and hygiene measures. Please stand by for an update soon.
Please remember to adhere to all social distancing measures. Remember, if you don’t have to go out, don’t.
