If you receive a grant from Buloke Shire Council, you’ll need to complete an acquittal report (which will be sent to you from SmartyGrants/email or (download it here) at the conclusion of your funded activity.
Your completed financial acquittal is important. It details how your organisation has spent the money granted.
It also allows Buloke Shire Council the opportunity to review and improve how are Community & Sustainability Grants operates.
If your organisation has previously received a Community or Sustainability grant, that grant needs to be acquitted before your organisation receives any further funding from a grant.
In general, an acquittal form asks you to provide:
An acquittal is the final milestone in your grant agreement and the due date will be set out in receiving a grant. You must submit your acquittal within a specified period (3 months) following the conclusion of your funded activity.
You will receive an email will contain a unique link to your acquittal form and will be emailed to you approximately a month before the due date, on the due date.
Your acquittal will be completed via the SmartyGrants Portal. Contact your Buloke Shire Council Officer if you have trouble attending to your acquittal and need assistance, please email grants@buloke.vic.gov.au.
You will receive an electronic version of the form, via email or you can download it here, you will need to complete and email back to grants@buloke.vic.gov.au.

Can I Change My Acquittal Timeline
If your project timeline changes, or you can’t meet the deadline for another reason, reach out to your Buloke Shire Council contact to discuss a new deadline.
If you do not acquit your grant satisfactorily, if it is incomplete or becomes overdue, you will not be eligible to apply for any further Buloke Shire Council funding.
