Community and Sustainability Grant Streams

• Organisation Support Grants - up to $1,000 per grant

Assistance with strengthening capacity of local organisations. You must match Buloke Shire Council’s funding dollar for dollar either by cash or in-kind contributions. These may be in the form of cash, assistance from other funding agencies, or “in kind” such as voluntary labour or materials.

• Project Support Grant - up to $2,000 per grant

Assistance with the organisation and management of a project. You must match Buloke Shire Council’s funding dollar for dollar either by cash or in-kind contributions. These may be in the form of cash, assistance from other funding agencies, or “in kind” such as voluntary labour or materials. 

• Small Capital Equipment Grant - up to $1,000 per grant

Assistance with the purchase of small capital items. Applicants must make a 50% financial cash contribution towards the project. Applicants can only make one successful application in a twelve-month period.

• Sustainability Grant - up to $10,000 per grant

Funding programs that improve the local environment, carbon footprint, or conserving resources. Buloke Shire Council will fund projects on a $2:1 ratio. Your contribution may consist of cash, assistance from other funding agencies, or up to 50% “in kind” such as voluntary labour or materials.

• Quick Action Sustainability Grant - up to $2,000 per grant

Programs funded will improve the local environment, carbon footprint, or conserving resources. Buloke Shire Council will fund sustainability projects without a co-contribution from the applicant. Applicants can only make one successful application for this funding.

• Sponsorship - up to $500 per sponsorship

Assistance with local events and activities. Sponsorship of individuals teams and groups to participate in sports and cultural events. Sponsorship up to $250 is approved by council officers, sponsorship between $251 and $500 needs to be approved by council.

Community Grants (including sponsorships) have a yearly pool of:             $20,000

Sustainability Grants have a yearly pool of:                                                  $50,000

In kind support is deemed as any support you receive donated to you by people within your organisation, or outside contractors. To calculate the financial contribution of your volunteered time, each hour can be charged at $41.72. If equipment is to be used (for example a ute and/or trailer), the hourly rate charged for them is $16 per hour.
