Registration of a Food Premises

An inspection of a food premises should be considered prior to the transfer of an existing premises to determine if there are any outstanding works that require completion. Any outstanding work becomes the responsibility of the new proprietor after the transfer of ownership takes place.

A fee applies to any requests for transfer inspections on registered premises. A statement from the existing proprietor giving Council permission to disclose information to the prospective purchaser is required.

Before you can open a new food premises or transfer into an existing one, the relevant application form, together with the appropriate fee must be forwarded to the Coordinator Public Health and Emergency Management.
