Livestock on roads represent a significant danger to motorists.
VicRoads is the responsible authority for livestock on all highways and main roads, including Calder Highway and Sunraysia Highway, within the Buloke Shire municipality. Council is responsible for all other roads.
Any loose or wandering stock should be reported immediately. Contact VicRoads call centre on 13 11 70, 24 hours, or for local roads contact Council on 1300 520 520.
Please ensure you can provide accurate directions to the location of the livestock.
Owners of livestock should take care to ensure that fencing is properly maintained.
Wycheproof is regarded as the largest store sheep selling centre in regional Victoria. Regular sales are held monthly with special sales held at other times.

Anthrax occurs in Victoria from time to time.
Agriculture Victoria urges farmers and those working with livestock to be vigilant for anthrax. Prompt reporting of suspected cases may potentially reduce the contamination of affected farms.
Any unexplained sudden deaths in livestock should be immediately reported Agriculture Victoria Animal Health and Welfare staff, to your local veterinarian or to the 24-hour Emergency Animal Disease Watch Hotline on 1800 675 888.
