Every landholder has the responsibility to minimise the threat to life and property from fire.
There are a number of steps you can take to make your property “fire safe”.
Mowing up to the fence and building lines, trimming trees and hedges, removing accumulated rubbish, and removing flammable materials such as tyres.
Rural landowners with property adjacent to town boundaries can also help through rubbish removal and putting firebreaks within their property boundary.
