Community Grants and Sponsorship
Council recently reviewed its Community Grants and Sponsorship Program in order to provide Guidelines and application forms that meet criteria in relation to funding for Community Groups and Projects as well as effectively meeting community needs within the current financial capacity of Council.
In November 2012, the Local Government Investigations and Compliance Inspectorate (LGICI) commenced a review of all Councils in Victoria. Practices regarding discretionary funding for communities including requests for cash contributions, grants, sponsorship, free use of facilities and the provision of in-kind support services were included in the review.
